Celestial Gardens by LUCION Media Arts transformed Boston's bustling Dewey Square into an immersive environment through monumental pneumatic spheres featuring dynamic assemblage interiors. Positioned strategically outside South Station, the installation created interactive shadow play as internal elements cast shifting patterns against the translucent sphere surfaces, engaging the constant flow of commuters and visitors with responsive visual experiences.
Field Objects provided comprehensive technical support throughout the installation's multi-month duration, coordinating with LUCION's international team across several activation periods. Our services included managing inflation and deflation cycles, maintaining blower systems, overseeing electrical and lighting components, and ensuring structural integrity.
