ETHOS
Ephemeral structures carry particular weight in an era of permanent waste. Working across scales from molecular interactions to atmospheric conditions, we explore how synthetic materials persist and transform long after their intended use. Each installation exists within multiple timelines: immediate inflation and deflation, longer material degradation, and geological plastic persistence. These interventions reveal strange vitalities in industrial substances while acknowledging their eventual journey through landfills and oceans. Installation becomes a method for tracking lifecycles, from extraction through exhaustion.
